Mid-Summer Tarpon and night fishing!!

We’ve had a great tarpon season so far! Looking forward to finishing the season out strong in the next three weeks or four weeks. Besides tarpon fishing, we’ve been running some great trips starting at sunset for redfish and trout on the dock lights. These fish have been eager to take flies. Lots of different patterns have been working especially polar fiber minnows. Foam gurglers are a blast to use for some topwater action. We’re looking forward to some late summer jack action as well schools of bull reds in the bay. We’re very excited to add a new 24 foot Pathfinder bay boat to our “fleet”. We can take groups up to 4 for trips in the bay as well as fishing the beach and near shore. Give us a call and we’ll get you set up with the perfect trip for you or your group!
Get Ready For Early Spring Fishing!

It’s great to be back here in the panhandle after 3 months in Louisiana catching bull reds! There are lots of cool fly fishing and light tackle opportunities right now mainly with redfish and speckled trout on the flats. With Spring Break coming up, warmer temps will bring the annual cobia migration down the beach. Jacks and pompano will also appear on the beach as well this spring. Bring your biggest popper and hang on! Lastly but certainly not least, schools of big bull redfish roam the shallow water up against the beach as well during late February, March, and April. Good fishing will continue on the flats in the bay for reds. The flats are always a good option and can be a great place to go when the wind picks up. It won’t be too long before the big pre-spawn trout will show up on the dock lights. One my favorite and most productive trips that I run. We have lots to look forward to here in the coming weeks! Give me a shout and we’ll get you out there on some big spring time fish!
